The first 8 photos in this blog are of the 1956 Ferrarri Boano. At the time it was the state of art. The Volvo P1800 is a pretty blatent rip off it. The proportions, fins, upside down bath tub of a roof, oval egg crate grill are all there in the Volvo. The guys at Volvo were so impressed by the Ferrari that they set off to style their car after it almost immediately. The Volvo P1800 was introduced to the public in 1961, 5 years after the Ferrari. The Ferrari is of course a Ferrari, with 3 times as many cylinders, a third more displacement and more than twice the power but, the Volvo's got a prettier tail and was and is available to more people who love and appreciate that era of car design but have coins not enough for the Ferrari.

These shots are Koniggsegg's idea of what a reborn P18 could be.
